BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Study the illustrations and sequences of assembly in the instructions provided with your AeroTech RMS™ reload kit. THE SEQUENCE OF ASSEMBLY IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. Review the parts list of your RMS™ reload kit and become familiar with all parts before assembly. If any parts of the motor hardware are missing or damaged, contact RELOADABLE SYSTEMS LLC / DR ROCKET™ at (775) 751-9005.  If any parts of the reload kit are missing or damaged, contact AeroTech at (702) 641-2301

DO NOT MODIFY THE MOTOR HARDWARE IN ANY WAY. Modification of the motor hardware or reload kit parts could result in motor failure and lead to the destruction of both your rocket and motor hardware. Modification of the motor hardware or reload kit in any way will invalidate your motor warranty.

USE ONLY AEROTECH RMS™ RELOAD KITS TO RELOAD YOUR RMS™ MOTOR HARDWARE. The AeroTech RMS™ Reload kits have been designed specifically for use in your particular AeroTech or AeroTech-Licensed motor hardware. Use of imitation components may destroy your rocket motor, rocket payload and will invalidate your motor warranty. Only use AeroTech

RMSTM reload kits intended for your specific AeroTech or AeroTech-licensed RMS™ motor hardware. DO NOT INTERCHANGE PARTS! Do not use AeroTech RMS™ reload kits or motor components for any other purpose than to reload an AeroTech or AeroTech-Licensed RMS™ motor.

DO NOT REUSE ANY OF THE DISPOSABLE PARTS OF THE RMS™ RELOAD KIT. This includes the liner, nozzle insert and O-rings. These components have been designed for one use only and must be discarded after firing. Reuse can result in motor failure during subsequent operation and will invalidate your motor warranty.

DO NOT USE ANY PART OF THE RMS™ SYSTEM THAT ARE DAMAGED IN ANY WAY. If in doubt, contact RELOADABLE SYSTEMS LLC at the number above for assistance.

AFTER FIRING MOTORS ARE HOT!. Although the RMS™ operates at a lower temperature than most disposable motors, the higher thermal conductivity of the aluminum motor parts may make it seem otherwise. If it is necessary to handle a motor before it has cooled down, use a rag or similar article.

PARTS LIST: Refer to the instructions packaged with each AeroTech reload kit

ITEMS NEEDED FOR USE: AeroTech RMS™ reload kits designed to fit this motor, wet wipes or a damp paper towel, hobby knife or scissors, masking tape and grease.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS: Refer to the instructions packaged with each AeroTech reload kit.

PREPARATION FOR FLIGHT: Refer to the instructions packaged with each AeroTech reload kit.

POST-RECOVERY CLEANUP

NOTE: Perform motor cleanup-up as soon as possible after motor firing. Propellant and delay residues become difficult to remove after 24 hours and can lead to corrosion of metal parts. Place the spent motor components in the reload kit plastic bag and dispose of properly.

    1. After the motor has cooled down, remove the forward and aft closures.
    2. Remove the delay insulator(s), delay back-up ring (if supplied) and O-ring(s) from the forward closure and discard. Discard the forward and aft O-rings. Using wet wipes or damp paper towels, remove all delay and propellant residue from the closures. WARNING: FAILURE TO COMPLETELY REMOVE DELAY RESIDUE FROM THE INSIDE OF THE FORWARD CLOSURE CAN LEAD TO GAS LEAKAGE ON A SUBSEQUENT FLIGHT AND DAMAGE TO YOUR RMSTM MOTOR FORWARD CLOSURE AND ROCKET VEHICLE.
    3. Remove and discard the liner, nozzle and forward and aft (if supplied) insulator(s) from the casing by pushing on either end. Using wet wipes or damp paper towels, wipe the inside of the casing to remove all propellant residue.
    4. Apply a light coat of grease to all threads and the inside of the motor case. Reassemble metal parts and store motor in a dry place.
    5. For RMSTM 29mm-240 (with the H-220 Reload kit only). The 29mm-360 (when released) and the 38mm-600,720,1080. Remove and clean the forward metal seal ring. Do not discard this ring as it is reusable. Please note that the O-ring around this seal ring must be discarded and a new one used before each flight.

PLEASE INSPECT YOUR HARDWARE BEFORE USE. IF THERE ARE ANY DEFECTS IN WORKMANSHIP RELOADABLE SYSTEMS LLC WILL REPLACE ANY DEFECTIVE PART. WE WILL NOT REPLACE ANY HARDWARE THAT IS DAMAGED BECAUSE OF USER ERROR.

READ AND FOLLOW THE SAFETY CODE OF THE TRIPOLI ROCKETRY ASSOCIATION (TRA) AND COMPLY WITH ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LAWS IN ALL ACTIVITIES WITH HIGH POWER ROCKETS.
